Lupus has an extremely low death rate in the US, I wouldn't worry about that. But I can relate to how you feel. I just got some bloodwork back as well; some of you may remember I had an MRI a while back that turned up nothing. Well my bloodwork showed extremely high levels of everything but T3 coming from my thyroid, and I'm getting an ultrasound this week to see if it has nodules on them and if they are treatable. Chances are they will be, but it's still scary. It's not fair to be as young as you and I are and not be able to act like it for being constantly sick. Sorry didn't read all the way through. Someone already asked my question. And sorry to hear you have lupus but you are not going to die in 5 years. My mom (who is acutally my grandmother. She raised me.) has Lupus and she got diagnosed when she was 17 I think. She is now 54. She takes meds for it but other than that you won't know there was anything wrong with her. She does have pain more now that she is older and also has mood swings. But other than that she gets along pretty good.
