hey guys, here are some pictures of HIDE and I was hoping that you could tell me what kin he is... Im thinking maybe an amel but I might be far off lol.

there is also an image of my viv and I was wondering if I could maybe put it standing up so that he can climb alot because right now it is't mutch height, maybe 12''-13'' (75gallon). good idea?

p.s. the setup is completely different now but its just to give an idea of what im meen when I say switch it around to make it based more on height than wideness

You are right ... your snake is an Amel.

It is best to leave the tank as is (do not set it up on end). While Cornsnakes are semi arboreal (will climb, etc.) they are not arboreal snakes. With cornsnakes, viv floor space is much more important than viv height.
 
Amel! He looks like my amel. Who is named Amel Boy.

I wouldn't stand it up, corns are only semi-aboreal and need floor space to stretch out. You can put something for him to climb though, I used some metal shelving

Yep, that's an amel.

Definetly leave the viv as it is. If you want to allow him to climb, providing some nice branches or vines should be plenty sufficient.
 
V Various...........it makes me laugh everytime you remind me that your Amel snake is called 'Amel boy'. lol i just makes me giggle.
 
alright thanks guys, I already have climbing branches in the viv but he doesn't look in to it, thats why I was wondering if I should change it, I guess not lol.
 
Climbing seems to be another of the individual preferences - some do, some don't. There's not much point providing a jungle gym if your chap is already ignoring the equipment he has now.
