What size to feed

Qi snake

Right now my 56 gm, unknown age Corn is eating 2 pinkys once a week-readily. Has a small buldge after feeding. I am thinking about taking her up to a peacy fuzzy, or sould I stay with the two pinkys for now?

Thanks

Mine at the size of your corn would be eating hoppers in the 9-12 gram size.
Yeah you can move up. I start mine on small fuzzies at 25 grams.

You can definitely move up. I wouldn't go straight to hoppers, but give him a few feedings on fuzzies and then you can move up to hoppers. The munson plan (you can google it) is a pretty good guide for which size to feed at each weight.

The Munson plan.

I loosely use it. You can always feed smaller than the chart says, depending on the snake I'll go 5-10 grams into the next weight slot before I move up the feeder size.

You can feed a couple feedings on fuzzies before moving up though I've never had a problem when I've gotten a snake that was eating to small a feeder going right to the size I thought was appropriate for them. Sometimes I've acquired snakes and I had know idea what prey or size they were eating (rescues, shops, etc etc) so I just went with what I would normally feed that size snake.

What is the Munson Plan? I have seen it mentioned a few times? I have a 12 year old male. He gets one regular size mouse a week. He seems to still be hungry. Should he be getting more? He's about 5ft. (I have about 2mon supply of reg mice in the freezer) thanks.

Click the link in my post above yours for the munson plan. It goes by weight of snake.

If your snake was mine he'd get one large mouse every 10-14 days.
