What to get?!?

Ok! So I have finally convinced the non-snake-loving boyfriend to let me get a couple of females to eventually pair with my Charcoal corn.

Now the problem is, what do i PICK?!?

I am leaning towards an Ultra/Ultramel (to eventually produce ultramel charcoals!) and maybe a Pewter? The Phantoms are staring at me funny too though.

I prefer normal pattern or bloodred over motley or stripe, so I doubt I would chose one of those. The loss of melanin in the motleys/stripes is something I'm not so much a fan of.

I'm not the biggest fan of blizzards. I do enjoy lavenders and hypo lavs, although the inability of that awesome orange to carry through from subadult to adult makes me want to cry. :(

I suppose the bigger question is... do i buy females where i can get visible cultivars the first generation, or get some awesome looking, genetically incompatible females and breed for hets, and produce some SPECTACULAR f2's? Which would probably have me getting an ultramel and a lavender bloodred... hmmmmmmm....

oh, decisions, decisions!

HELP! lol!

What about a Terrazzo??? Yeah, you'd have to rob a bank, but still!

Has anyone done sunkissed charcoals yet? Sunkissed aneries are gorgeous.

edit: Yes, I see there are a few sunkissed charcoals in existence.

terrazzos are so pretty, i will entirely be drooling over them until they are within a price range involving sanity :)

I really, really, like the hypo sunkissed kiddos that I saw... how about a hypo sunkissed charcoal? *gasp*

but i'm just not as much of a fan of the hypos or sunkisseds by themselves, i really prefer the multiple-hypo-kiddos.... which means instead of buying a sunkissed and a hypo, i would be paying 4 or 5 times more for a pretty little orange hypo-y monster :)

Does anyone have any Lavender Charcoals? Hypo Lavender Charcoals? Ultramel Charcoal Lavs?

I know Walter had some Ultramel Lav cuties for sale... lol argh!

There are so many options! and since I have a minute before I would breed them, I want ones whose CURRENT colors make me happy, not just ones who would eventually make amazing combos with my Charcoal.

I think, the more I look at them, the more I really like Ultramels.

But what ELSE? A lav blood? A hypo Lav?

I think at this point I would like some diversity... maybe a Ultramel and a Bloodred?

lol oh my *head swims in gene combos*

I've been talking with Poppycorns, and she's helping me pick out a Coral Snow or 2.

Maybe if we combine that with something like Ultra, I can breed my charcoal to the Coral snow, and at least get hets for anery a, amel, and charcoal, and maybe visuals if my charcoal is het for something, and breed my charcoal to an ultra (anery maybe?), and get het charcoals and het ultras, breed THOSE two groups together, and get some ultramel charcoals, ultramel anerys, etc etc etc (oh the combos from THAT lol!)

hmmmmmm.... *ponders*

You know what, if I was buying a snake from Poppycorns, it'd be a Wild Cherry offspring!!! That is my new dream snake.
