I have been thinking about getting a cornsnake for a bot now and have been reading up on them. And just about everything I read says that a 20 Gal tank is fine for a adult, but more is always better. So i was wondering how big would be to big.

Well I don't know if you can really go too big. I'm sure any corn would love of have a very large area with any different hides and such, however that might make it more difficult for you to manage - cleaning and such - and harder for you to find the snake. It all depends on what you want really.

too big would be anything bigger than you like. Remember these guys live in the great outdoors, they can handle being in a big space.

As long as the snake has enough hides and cover, you can go for anything you like really so long as it's over 20 gallon long. A 4ft long viv is a pretty good size for even the largest corn IMO; I don't think you'd ever need anything more. Mine is in a 36".
