What's the deal with "Dilutes"?

Can someone explain the dilutes to me? Preferably with pictures? I see these anery het dilutes... I'm confused!

Like caramels, dilutes are either loved or not. People can see the difference in the dilute anerys, especially when compared to a regular anery, but the "normal" dilutes are considered "just another hypo, and not that dramatic at that" by many, and there are not enough dilute caramels out there to be loved. And if my breeding plans didn't go down the toilet a couple of years ago, I would be hoping for some dilute lavenders in the near future. THAT is a morph I really want to see as I predict dilute to really affect the already bluish coloration of adult lavenders.

I sort of love dilute... I think it's pretty underappreciated, but I agree with the caramel remark... Yellow isn't exactly my favourite colour lol. I've also been thinking of dilute lavenders. Glad to see other people have.
