Cleo has not been active at all, he has shed, and is eating well, but he isnt active at all... just lays around in his hide. I have 3 hides for him, I think the temp in the cage is good, I have a light and a heat pad under the tank, he has fresh water, and lots of love. is he sick? or do some corns just have a boring laid back type persionality?

Nothing :)

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that corns are nocturnal, meaning that they won't be that active during the day. You could probably catch Cleo moving around at night. That's when mine are active. Others have suggested the use of a red light at night so you can see the snake, but the snake can’t see the light. Otherwise it sounds like everything is good and that Cleo is a perfectly normal, healthy corn. Congratulations!

yeah corns are mostly active during the night, some might be going out during the day but they tend to prefer night

I noticed that my snake took a little longer digesting his meal "underground" when I moved up to adult mice, so I am sure your snake is probably fine. I must admit though, I used to probe around in his viv to make sure he was still alive :) Just the mom in me I guess.

Question. What if you used a red light during the day and night? Would it seem as if it is night time to the snake and would my Malachai come out during the day?

just a little fact,

Corns are actualy crepsucluer-meaning they are usualy active during dawn and dusk hours.

You will occasionally see them out during the middle of the day or the middle of the night, though.
