Seriously He ate on sunday night it is now thursday morning and I was digging around his viv and couldn't find any poo wtf. would they deficate in their hides?

Look under the aspen too and it may be really small if your snake is young. Be patient what goes in must come out;)

Danielle is right, look under and in the bedding in the hides ect.... If you are really worried.. try to excercise, hold, let the snake play a lot(under your supervision)... a lot of time this stimulates them to poo. I strongly think it has hidden the poo somewhere in the cage though....

That's why I prefer to keep little ones on paper towels....those tiny poops can disappear so easily! :) I wouldn't worry too much, it'll turn up.

mmmk I am going to replace the aspen in a couple days anyhow, but are there any possible health related issues that could arise if not found?

Hee, I woke up this morning to a loud "squish" noise as my hognose disposed of her last meal.

My lil Anery male goes in his water dish. I have to check it each morning. Ocassionally I find it in a corner just barely on any bedding (looks like he moved the bedding then went lol). I once found it in the corner on the bare cage bottom with bedding pushed over it somewhat reminded me of what a cat would do :) My Amel once held her tail up against the side of her viv and went on the "wall" lol! I saw her do it!

I have a snake that poops once a month. When she poops, the whole house knows!
LOL. Angela, you are so funny.

Yep, I've got a couple who love to finger-paint, too. Just like children.

I'm happy when my snakes hide their poop in the substrate. They seem to love 'fingerpainting' along the front of the tubs though, which somewhat spoils the look of the rack!:roflmao:

It should be there, if you keep your little ones in temporary containers like a small tub you can usually avoid having to go poo searching. ;)

My little Ruby loves to poo in her water dish. not on the side of the dish right IN THE MIDDLE! uhhh. and i know when she is going to poo too, she sits and drinks a good bit of water before she poos.
