Hi there :) Im new to this forum and I shall be getting a corn snake soon, I just have a few questions though about where I should put his tank.
First of all I live in a basement and I have a dehumidifier so I as wonder if that is going to be an issue ? and I also own gerbils, rats and a bunny and was wonder if the smell of them living in the same room as his tank would stress him out or if it would be fine ?

I have gerbils near my baby corn. He doesn't seem bothered at all.

As for the humidity, just make sure that you make sure you mist him or provide a humid hide to prevent a bad shed. If he spends lots of time in his water bowl, humidity may be too low.

Lol. You sound like me. I've found that they're not as fragile as everyone makes them sound, they just have requirements different from most other pets. Where are you getting him/her?
 
theres 4 reptile shows a year in Mississauga, Ontario which is close to where I live so I will probably get him at one of the next shows, and I really love the Amelanistic striped ones but Im not too picky so if I fall in love with another one thats cool too :p
