Which color should I choose?

Okay, for Christmas, I will be getting my first Corn snake! I am very excited!

But I don't know which color to choose! There are so many!

The ones I like the most are:

Amelanistic Bloodred
Amelanistic Stripe
Bloodred
Butter
Butter Motley
Creamsicle
Vanishing Amelanistic Stripe

Please help me decide! Thank you! :)

And I sure hope I put this in the right forum!

My vote would be on getting a nice Bloodred.

Good luck with your decision. Inevidatbly you'll end up with all those snakes on your list ;) That's just how it goes with corns :grin01:

You want the truth.......

Stop jerking around and order them all.
You're going to end up with them anyway, get them now.
You'll more likely get two for free with a order like that and also save s/h.
You will also save or ordering bulk feeder, aspen and hides and such.

Stop teasing yourself.

Start at the top and work your way down the list. lol

I'd say look around at what breeders have available and when you see the snake you just got to have, regardless of what morph it is, then you will know you have found the one you should get first. You can always add the rest as time goes by, because we all know that "just one isn't enough".

Thank you all for the replies! :)

After a very long time of searching at pictures & websites, I think I have made up my mind.

I love the Amelanistic Bloodred!

So I think I will be getting this color!
I am going to contact the breeder and ask if he still has the male hatchling left, I hope he does :D

And maybe someday I will get the Butter Motley too!

I will post lots of pics! :D

I do have a question though, how do you pronounce Amelanistic correctly? :shrugs:

I don't want to sound like an idiot! Lol

I've often wondered looking at your signature over the past year or so, how do YOU control yourself? You've had two snakes since day one. Either you have more self-control than the rest of us or you're a 'closet cornsnake addict'.:grin01:

Great choice, I hope the critter is still available and that you can get him. Looking forward to seeing the pics...

As for how to say "Amelanistic" it breaks down something like: a-mel-an-is-tic though most people just shorten it to a-mel. Hope that helps.

A - like the letter name
Mel - as in actor Gibson
A - as in apple
Nis - rhymes with kiss
Tic - as in tic-tac-toe

Wow! That is great! Thank you very much :D

That is a good choice! Be sure to post lots of pics when you get it. Once you get one though, it is very adicting! :crazy02:

Well, the breeder still hasn't answered me yet. But I found this beauty!

A Hypomelanistic Bloodred!

And I found a couple for sale :D

So I might get this kind!

Any morph of bloodred is a great choice. The really nice thing is that most of the bloodlines are a tad on the small side. I work with Pewters, Amels, Hypos, Lavenders, Anery's and normals and they are definitely one of my favorites.
