While Strolling Through The Park One Day.....

The man gets to take the pictures, that's why!! :D :duck:

Cute find, I can't believe how SMALL it is! Must be a tuff'en to survive in Maine!

hey come'on now..don't you know..all our herps are "TUFF"...haha..they have to be..but the snappers do pretty damn well up here...we have one at a pond we hike into to camp at..in the middle of nowhere, and there is a HUGE snapper there every year..he must be over 100 years old...he is the biggest I have ever seen up here.
but cute find..I love snappers..I rehab'ed one 2 winters ago.

I found two about a month ago, the rest of their clutch mates had bee neaten by something and all that was left were the two little guys I found, I felt bad so I took em' in and gave them a head start. I released the one in pond that I am hoping he will thrive in but juts couldn't find it in me to get rid of the other one. He is pretty neat, I named him Justice. Getting big now, my boss' mother-in-law does a lot with turtles and she said if I was gonna keep him to pick him up everyday and hopefully when he gets big I will keep all my fingers. We will keep em' crossed(while I still have them)
