Who went to the Raleigh, NC show?

Though the show was quite a bit smaller than usual, and had far too few corns (to be expected though, since everybody is laying now), it was alot of fun. I picked up an '05 aztec anery male that is simply gorgeous. Thanks Kathy, for popping him for me, since all the folks selling corns said they were "too small" to to pop ROFL. It was actually sold to me as a female. Gut instinct told me to have Kathy pop it thank goodness.
Kathy's seminar was great, and extremely informative, too bad more people didn't come out she's a wonderful speaker. Sorry too, that someone apparently walked off with one of her hatchlings. :eek1:
There was a guy there I was talking to that I later heard was part of these forums, but had to leave before I could ask his screen name. Who were you?? LOL It was great meeting you and your little brother! Hopefully the fall show will be back to normal, and we'll have plenty of eye candy. :)

My son and I were there for about an hour or so. We couldn't stay for Kathy's seminar because my son had a hockey game in Garner at 4PM.

I did say hey to Kathy.

You are right - this show is much smaller than the fall show. I didn't buy anything. I did join the new NC Breeder's Association and sign the petition against the proposed "dangerous animal" law.

That's rotten that one of Kathy's hatchling was stolen...terrible.

Some people at an expo a while back wouldn't let me hold the little box that had an amber in it because of the 'theft risk' and even when I offered to them to hold my purse while I looked at the snake they were pains...I ended up not buying the snake, partly cos I found another I liked better and partly in principle -I'm not handing over 600 Danish crowns for a snake I'm not allowed to touch or look at first...hmph.

I wonder how often snakies go walkies from tables at shows? When you have a few hundred on a table it must be impossible to keep an eye onthem all.

Hey Jen, congrats on the new little one! Hard to walk away from those shows empty handed, isn't it. Shame about Kathy getting ripped off like that. I just hope whoever took it knows how to care for it properly, and of course that it grows up mean and bites the crap out of him everytime he opens the cage. :wavey:

Santa, I was looking for you, but believe it or not there were about 5 guys that looked like you! LOL
Princess, unfortunately I don't believe those were Kathy's snakes as she didn't have any hatched out yet. So there weren't that many on the table, but of course there were tons of people at any given time trying to talk to her, so I'm sure they had someone distract her and Bill. Still ridiculous when I don't think there was anything on the table priced over $79.
Thanks Mike, he really is a beauty, I'm thrilled with him. I love anerys, and unfotunately the only one I've had my son forgot to lock the top of the viv and she has been MIA for about 3 yrs now. ROFL about the snake that got taken, we can only hope right?
