Why can't people teach kids respect?!

So..she got the phone book, found the number, handed him the phone and told him to call. But she also pointed out that by the time they got there they would have a reason to say she beat him. Needless to say he went to bed. LOL

LOL...I'm sure he'll rethink his responses in the future...:)

I will admit: I've held myself back on reading this thread...I did start by reading the entry that began this thread, but I chose not to respond because all I could do was *sigh* and think: I spend a lot of my day teaching kids respect...and they're not even my own children. :sobstory:

(I honestly don't have my own kids yet, either, because I'm too wiped out by the children of other people...!) :nope:

All I *can* say, though, is that I force myself to keep this in mind: one bad apple spoils the bunch...but there are dozens of kids out there to make up for that bad one (or three!). And it's cute: my students will tell me how they take home the "lessons" I teach them & try to teach their parents how to be more respectful...though I love it best when they teach each other. It can happen. :) It's nice to have hope. :)
