why!!!!!! does my landlord have to be shach a idiot

hediki

i luv them all.
next year in school im taking ecology, and in the ecology room they have a green house and a gurl didnt want her corn any more so she gave it to the ecology teacher and now its kinda becoming a "burden" or hassle to take care of it, if i could i would gladly take it off his hands free of cost, but my moms landlord wont even let me get my own. that.......... :dgrin: :madeuce: :madeuce: :headbang:

agony

Have your mom check the fine print in the lease. If it doesn't specifically rule out reptiles, then I don't think the landlord can stop you from getting one. But it would probably cause too much hassle to argue the point with the moron.

we didnt lease it, and my mom resently had a argument with her so thats why my mom wont ask her. :angry01:

Uh, if you have a landlord then you rented, or "leased" the apartment.

The lease is just the contract, which I'd like to think your mom signed.

Heh, its easy enough to hide a corn snake. I did it in the dorms for months, and they really did have rules against animals. Of course, it is still up to your mom whether she wants to risk it or not.

So how do you keep your snakes now Hediki? Do they live somewhere else?

OOOPS, I just checked out your site and saw you have none at the moment. You seem to have a lot of variety on your wish list...a lot of different species with very different care needs. That's a lot to handle. It'd be better if you get the feel for it from perhaps starting off with just colubrids and then perhaps adding another type..just an idea

Also...If I'm not mistaken, the law states that you need 24 hours written notice from the landlord if they want to come and inspect the property, so that's plenty of time to move the snake...I say keep working on your mum!

Unless you lease says "no pets", then I highly doubt it specifically says no reptiles. Something to look at.

i dont plan on getting them all at one time, i mean when i have a house and stuff thats what io what my colection to be. i dont realy see the need for like 12 corns and 16kings and so on. and ill continue to try to convince her. and im trying to find some way of show my landlord my site so that she can see that i have good knowledge of corn snakes.

is the ecology teacher keeping the corn at home or in the class? Maybe it could become a classroom project and less of a burden for the teacher.
