:shrugs: My snake is in the middle of a 10 day recoup/starvation,,but his activity level 3 times what it was before.I have been seeing him out and about during daylight hours. At night he is also more active.
I'm thinking this a sign,like,,"MAN I'M FRICKIN HUNGRY" :eek1:

My '05 Okeetee has been more active lately too, out earlier in the afternoon and he's been ready to eat sooner than normal too. He also has been eating with more gusto, he had his first fuzzy the other day, pinkies were not getting it done! My Creamsicle seems the same though...

I have found when my snakes have no food in their system they do get much more active. Right now I have about 20 snakes that are off food in preparation for brumation and they are much more active than in weeks past when they were regularly full of food! I also think the winter coming and darker skies affects that too...these animals seem so sensitive to the weather patterns and pressure even though they are kept indoors.

I can't say that mine is any more active than normal, but then he's normally really active. As for hunger, he gets this very intense look in his eyes when he's watching me as if he's hypotizing me... Feed me... Feed me... Feed me NOW.... :D

My snake is going through a "build up" period,,after having regurged twice.
His first feed should be just a head ??,a headless body,,or a really small pinkie ??.

Just give it a small pinky. Small enough that it would not leave a lump if possible. If you want to aid in digestion , slit the back of a it a bit. This makes it easier to digest because they dont have to digest through the skin.

Try to find one about half the size of what you had been giving him. If you can't, don't hesitate to cut one down to size. While it is still frozen, it will be much easier to cut.

I'm going to go with a small pinkie.Tonight when I got home from work,I checked on my snake,,only to see her searching EVERY WHERE.
This doesn't seem right. She acts like she's STARVING !!!,,should I give in ??.

Please don't. I was given bad advice from another forum when Lil was small and she regurged again. The '10 day wait' is to let the snake's stomach recover and can make the difference between recovery or losing your snake. If I hadn't had an e-mail reply then from Kathy Love I might have lost my snake.

Stay strong, don't give in! Your snake will be better off in the long run. I know it's hard to see them looking hungry (and I know from experience), but it is soooo necessary to wait the full 10 days.
