Why do you think my snake bathes in her water bowl after she eats? it is nothing to do with shedding as she shed yesterday and the tank temp is around 80-84f , I feed her day old chicks? Any ideas folks?

It could perhaps just like the temperature of the water, maybe just a good soaking.
I think I remember reading somewhere that some snakes like to soak in warm water (kind of like Bearded dragons) because it helps the digestive system or something to that effect, which is kind of like when a bearded dragon does soak in semi-warm water, it uses the bathroom in the water bowl.

I agree that if the water is aired then this aid's the snake to warm up her body quicker then laying over the heated area, then she'll move to the warmer area to maintain the higher heat needed to digest.

I've noticed that many of my corns drink right after eating. It just may have stopped for a drink and a relaxing float.
