My daughter is buying me a Leopard Gecko for Christmas, my son in law is getting him at the Hamm show in December. My worry is that he will be coming home on a coach over night, so will the gecko be ok with no heat for that long??
Bare in mind, we live in the UK.

Depends on the temps. If its room temp - if he's riding with your son in law, then I wouldn't worry about it. If its in the cargo hold - with no heat at all, I might worry. I'd look into the warming packs that breeders use when they ship in cold weather, that might be a good solution.

Thanks for that reply, where would i get the "warming packs" from?? Are they like the ones to warm your hands??
They both went to Hamm in September & brought home 2 chameleons, but one got a RI, i don't want to have him get that. Would the prices be lower there than here at home?? I was just wondering if it was worth the trouble.

Ummm, I honestly don't know where to get the warming packs that breeders use - I would google them if I were you. I think they are like the ones that warm your hands - you would place them in the box around the gecko, not in the container its in.

As for price, I am really not the person to answer that question, I don't know what the prices for Leo's are across the pond. I can't imagine that it would be that much more or less then at the Hamm show - you might just want to pick one up near you. It all depends on who you get it from. Try googling Leo breeders in the UK. Maybe you can just have one shipped to you.

You can get heatpacks in most chemists or outdoor stores..If they are heading to hamm just for a gecko its alot of effort lol...Gecko prices in the uk are grand not much of a difference between their and the rest of europe

There was a problem with animals in the hold of a coach. at Septembers Hamm...
TBH..... I wouldn't bother going to Hamm for a Leo, too much trouble... There's loads for sale over here...
PM me and I'll send you a UK site you can advertise on, or just look in their clasifides... They always have them for sale...
