I wouldn't do it, your cockatiel might bite the snake! Actually, if it smelled the bird and tried to strike at it, it might accidentally bite you. Or if your hands or face smelled like the bird.....Plus there are diseases herps and birds can give each other. There shouldn't be any problems having them both, as long as you wash your hands between handling.
