(Ok, just kidding, I have no idea. I suppose I should leave this to the experts.)
I just had my first clutch (quite a surprise) and some of those eggs had these "windows" but that didn't seem to affect whether or not they hatched. That's all I know.
Hi,
We just had a clutch a little while ago and these egs had more "windows" in them then yours. They have seemed to deminish some but are still visible. I had asked the same questions as you about this and the replies I got are here on this thread link. They seem to be doing really great. They are nice and plumpy. Hope this helps you. Just click this link.
Now I'm beginning to see these brown spots on the eggs, what does that meen??
I've candled them all and I see weins in all of them but could they be dying??
(I'm so paranoid coz this is my first ever clutch)
Moss turns eggs kind of brown, it's from the tannins in the plant. Here's a pic of my eggs pipping, you can see they are somewhat brown after sitting in the moss for a couple of months. I'm not sure if this is what you mean.
oh ok that could be it (it's not nearly that much), and I see lots of veins in all of them (isn't that a good sign?). Thanks, lol I'm so stressed out over the eggs.
Here is a pic of a big window in one of my eggs.I don't know what caused it but I haven't noticed anything wrong. The window kept getting bigger along with the egg!You can she the blood vessels and a little shadow which I believe is the little snake. Don't worry! :wavey:
