Winter is here, time to bump up temps on my viv?

Hey guys. Sure is getting cold in these winter Wisconsin months (but no snow!)

Because of the humidity has changed and the air is just seems colder than in the summer, do you think its wise to bump up the temp on my ReptiTemp 500R? I have two thermometers going under the substrate but above to the glass, which is above my heat mat. The two digital thermometers temps don’t get above 85 degrees and dont drop below 77. I also have a digital thermometer Velcrod to the middle of the viv and about 1 inch off of the substrate. That currently reads 73 degrees. w/ 37% humidity.

My room temputure is controlled by in-floor heat (hey! im just like my snake! lol.) It stays right around 73 degrees.

He is a 7 months old that just switched over two weeks ago to large pinkies. He feed twice both times great.
Should I bump up my ReptiTemp a few degrees?

Hmm.. Well with the two therm's your saying, are you talking about they only read that or thats what it is in your tank, if they read that in your tank that sounds good, but the humidity is low. Also the therm in the middle seems low, 73? vs 85 and 77?? How does that work?

Just make sure the snake has somewhere 85 degrees where he can go to warm up, and somewhere cooler so he can cool down. That's all you have to do. My cool end is currently 69 to 70 degrees and my snake is doing fine.

If you're worried about humidity, get a tupperware container, put a hole in it so the snake can come and go, and put some wet paper towels inside.

Or get a humidifier for the whole room.

There is no need to increase your temps just for winter. They should stay 70-75 on the cool side and 80-85 on the warm side.

dont you have a heater in your house? i live in Winnipeg, Canada.( -4 Fahrenheit) and i haven't adjusted the temperatures at all. basically because my house doesn't get any colder.(we heat our house) :)
