Can anyone tell me which types of wood are ok to use for vivariums and which arent?!?

Im going to start making novelty vivs (hollowed out logs, cabinets and so on) and would really appreciate anybodys help on what woods are safe to use.

To the best of my knowledge, stay away from pine and cedar. Most hardwoods are the perferred wood for vivs. I am sure someone else will chime in with more info.

Shop bought ones are made from MFC (melamine faced chipboard) Which you can get at any hardware store and it works great.
