WOOHOO She ATE!!!

Hunter2011

The fun begins!
:smash::smash::dancer::spinner::spinner::spinner::):):dancer::dancer::rofl:I just fed my new baby corn snake for the first time, I was sooo worried, but all went well! She was SUPER FAST slithering back into her hide, I hope that she doesn't regurge. !!!

Congratulations!!

I'm sure she'll be fine, like the others have said, now all you need to do is leave her alone to digest. I just fed Flash two 1 day old pinkies for the first time two days ago. He has been in the eyeglasses case ever since. They eat, then they hide out until they're done digesting. :)

lol, I hope that the pinky wasn't too big, it left a little lump, but not a big on, so I hope she doesn't regurge!!! :)

Congrats Hunter :dancer:

The most important thing now is to leave her alone. If she isn't stressed while she is digesting, there is less of a chance of a regurgitation.

I highly doubt it, it was a 1 day old pinkie right? You will always see a lump, which may be visible for 2-3 days. Normal stuff.

I think that it was a 1 day old pinky, the pet store wasn't sure, but they thought it probably was, I hope it was :( now I'm worried :(

You have nothing to worry about.. the lump is a good thing.

Doesn't matter how old the pinky is as long as it fits down the hatch ;)

Congrats

Connor.

Hunter, You really need to go out and by Kathy Love's book on Corn snakes. Go to your local pet shop and see if they have it or order it from Kathy Love's website. You are panicking over normal basic stuff.
You have a new pet, you need to go out and do the research. Your snake will be fine and you shouldn't have any problems.

thanks, I am plannning on getting Kathy Love's book, Corn Snakes, The Comprehensive Owners Guide, but I haven't gotten arround to it yet, but I think she will be fine :)

I bought Don Soderberg's Corn Snakes in Captivity book and I also just ordered Kathy Love's Corn Snake Manual. I think between those two and this forum, I am really set!

My gosh, you are really quick! Are you bored and just sitting on the corn snakes forum? I'll admit, I am!

lol, I am SOOO bored! lol I keep checking the chat room and stuff, but I don't have a life, My baby is so cute, she pops her little head out of her hide whne I come into the room and looks at me, I don't think she thinks of me as a threat anymore, because now she comes out and is starting to crawl up the wall of her VIV even though I was watching!!!!!

See, we all told ya so. It just takes time, that's all. :)

I'm usually bored most days. That's why I have a lot of posts for being a relatively new person, heh.

I was feeding her fairly large pinks. So if it was a day old, she should be fine, even if she is a little stressed. I just wanted you to feed her smaller meals than I fed, at least the first few times. Once she is settled in, you can go to large pinks (without fur, but larger than the newborn pink).

I think the book would be a great help to you. Reading it will keep you from getting bored, lol!
