Old School Snakeman
To make a short story long...... last month Lisa took my mom apartment hunting. She found a place. The neighbor was looking for homes for her seven dogs. Lisa took George. George is a registered mini-dauchand. He weighed 30lbs. Lisa has had him on a strict diet and walkies every day twice a day besides potty walks. He is down to 24lbs now. The lady was kinda snotty when she handed him over. She said he wasn't allowed on the couch, none of her dogs were. Geez! Hows about kepping him away from the cheese, the lady put cheese on his Ole Roy.

First pic is about a month old, the next two taken today.....

OMG Kenzie looks so old now!! Like a kid, not a baby!! I can't wait to see her in person!

She needs to stop growing and stay my little girl. We celebrated her B-day today (on the 24th). I have something every weekend for the last two months. We are planning..PLANNING!......to go see George next weekend, Sunday, to see about a GTG/Bar-B-Q.

How would that poor dachshund even get up onto the sofa??

Great posts thanks.....

I tell ya the first two weeks he could barely breathe. He sounded horrible when he slept.

Great query. He just now can jump up on ours. I forgot to tell ya.....the lady said she hoped we would continue the no couch rule. She just didn't believe in it.

How do you even let an animal go like that...

I think if you'll read the post again. HE didn't let the poor dog get that way. It's previous owner did.
The poor thing. Being a doxie, that extra weight could have really been detrimental to its back going out also, we all know doxies are prone to back problems.
I'm so glad your able to help the poor baby get the excess weight off and give it a much happier and healthier life....Kudos to you and your family!!!
