worried about ana!!!

I'm really worried about my corn Ana. On Sunday I had her out and she looked weird. Her colors werent all that bright and the black checkerboard pattern on her underbelly colored weird. The black was more grey than black. So now her eyes are clouded over silverish. That usually means a shed right? It's been two days and she hasn't shed yet. I dribbled some water on her hoping that would help loosen anything but so far nothing. I held off feeding her. But should I feed her now and see if she eats? If she does is that a good sign? Any idea what's wrong, if anything.

Sounds like normal shedding procedure to me. A few days after it's eyes clear up you should see the shed skin.

Some will feed during this process, some will not. Some may need to be enticed with a little teasing but keep in mind they can't see or at least not very well. Some snakes tend to be nippy during this time because of this.

Hope that eases your mind slightly,

Quigs

It will take her a few days to shed. You can try feeding her but some won't feed during shedding. A few of mine will and sometimes it actually helps them shed. Their colors will get dull when the process starts and then they may brighten up some just before she sheds. She's fine. Doing what all snakes do.

Her eyes are very clear now. And she's following my finger so maybe she's hungry? So now that her eyes are clear I can expect a shed soon? I will try feeding her....

My snakes usually shed three days after they return to their normal colour, have your camara ready, it is an amazining sight, (but I bet s/he sheds during the night!) :)
