X-ray needed

Hi Guys,

I need a few x-rays of corn snakes. It must show the whole animal, and be clear enough to be able to distinguish individual vertebrae. I know some of you work in the veterinary profession in various capacities and so I wondered if anybody would be able to help me out here. You can PM me and I'll send you my email address to which I need the images sent.

Many thanks in advance to anyone able to help me here,

We've got some, Skye, some images with normal spines and with some vertebral anomalies. Do you want digital images or the real radiographs mailed to you? I'd be happy to obtain you either.

Serp posted some photos I think earlier. I'll go look for them.

I guess they were erased, but here's a snippet for now showing some vertebrae jammed together on a snake that has no visible or palpable kinking (now or as a hatchling). We found that more snakes than I would have though have these little anomalies ...in fact I think only one of like 7 or 8 was completely "normal" all the way down the spine. You especially see them in areas where the limbs would normally attach in a legged animal.

Black lines show the edges of the fused vertebrae. Dots are on the rib pairs for the fused vertebrae.

Anyway, I'll try to get you some decent shots.

Here's some:

This one is not a full body shot, but I thought you might be able to use it anyway (because of the eggs!)

Here is another one:

I have several others, too. If you will send me the e-mail address to send them to, I'll send the rest. If I can find the originals, I will take some higher resolution shots of them first, though. I have a MUCH better camera now!
