I had been kinda worrying about Floyd's first shed and hadn't even noticed him in blue, and he ate a couple of days ago too. This morning when I took him out he had a perfect shed in the viv with him! Eyecaps and all, I went to take it out to save but it was stuck on a rock and tore in two :( I will still save it though. Is that wierd? Yay for Floyd!

Congrats on your first shed! :)
exciting isnt it?

and yes thats normal that the shed had stuck to the rock, there is fluid that coats their bodies and helps them when they shed..it usually dries and sticks to whatever is around it, and there quite delicate on top of that!

Next time just be more careful when collecting the shed and it shouldn't break on you. ;)

Haha yes I did mean is it normal to keep the first shed :) But also good to know that it being stuck to the rock was ok too!

I still think its weird because I don't have my scale baby yet but lots of people seem to keep/frame first shed.. I think your perfectly "normal" whatever that means lol.

I think it's normal, especially for the first shed, but maybe I'm just weird. I like to keep a recent shed because I use my oldest as a snake ambassador and kids who are too afraid to touch the snake are usually interested in touching the shed :)

That's just another way of saying "awesome" right? ;)

Yes it is! The more offbeat someone is, the more normal I think they are.

And I still have Scarlett and Gus's first sheds, kind of like keeping a first pair of baby booties. You can compare them over time and see how big they are getting!
