This pic was taken around september last year, I know the glass was kinda dirty ;) It has changed a bit since, but not too much.

It is 36x18x18 (feet)

Heres a link to a picture I posted of my adults tank. I realize that its a bit excessive, but it does the trick and he is definitely a happy camper. :D

My younger corns are in tanks ranging from a 20 gal to a smaller round plastic "kritter keeper." My plan is to eventually build a rack system into the stand of the tank shown in the picture and switch from tanks to rubbermaid or sterilite containers. Hopefully I can work on that little project this summer.

;)

just moved my normal into this plastic tub with about 2" of aspen, 2 hides, a water bowl and grape vine to climb on. His one year anniversary from purchase is coming up 3/22. He was 17" in April of last year and is now around 40" The aquarium on top is a 20g long :) floor space is 48"x16". It works great - RH and temps stay consistent. So much easier to deal with than tanks.

Here's mine. Don't worry, my snake is helping me type this. She hasn't escaped! I'll be upgrading her to a 20 gl. soon.

cages.jpg

My current setup. Got a great deal on a couple cages that looked pretty ugly untill I cleaned them up and repainted them. The guy was asking 150 for both and I talked him down to 100.

Do you have problems with your snakes wrapping around that bulb? I would worry about burns. Cool set up though, and a great deal!

Nah they dont try to wrap around the bulbs. With the thermostat I was concerned, since the bulbs arent always on. However they seem to sense the heat level is a bit out of their comfort zone when they get too close.

The only time I have ever had a snake wrap around a bulb was when it was off all night and I woke up to find one of them wrapped around the bulb in the arboreal cage to the right on the picture. I unscrewed the bulb and detached him from it in the process, screwed it back and turned it on. Once he got back to his comfort zone he didnt approach the bulb.

I will keep an eye on it though.

paper tubes in viv

Hi everyone, thanks for your pics. I added one of the paper towel rolls/tubes into my viv and my snake Yoshi (who has been in hiding for the past week and a half) has been having a ball with it. I guess he just had to see what it was. Now he keeps going in and out, peeking around it. It's like Christmas!

can't attaach pic

...sorry, I was going to attach a file of his viv and him peeking out of the tube, but I don't know how to reduce the file size so that it isn't too large...

If you can, you can crop the photo, and then go to resize. Reduce the amount of pixels until you get a combination that when you multiply them together comes out to less than 150,000 pixels. Or you can try sending it to me, and I'll see if I can play with it for you.

pics

Ok, I think I got it it figured out, here are pics of my viv and one of Yoshi playing around the new paper tube I put in there. He just loves it! The viv is a retrofitted fish aquarium that is 20 inches across the bottom. I was guessing Yoshi is about 20-22 inches long, but I last measured him going around his tank and he is actually about 30-32 inches long! I think I need to upgrade him to a bigger viv soon. I just wanted to wait since we just got him about a month ago so that he doesn't stress out. Thanks Meg for your suggestions on altering my photos!
