should I still feed my snake if...

I fed my snake a pretty good sized fuzzy last saturday. My snake weighs 25g.

After he ate it I was worried, he never had such a big bulge before. I even took some pics of it and may post them for an opinion if it was too big.

Anyway, he hasn't regurged at all that I can see, but he also hasn't pooped yet.

I took him out last night for handling and he seemed fine, got some exercise crawling through my fingers and on the chair.

This morning, still, no poop.

If it gets to Saturday and he still hasn't pooped, should I go ahead and feed him anyway?

I really don't want to do anything that will harm his health.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Let's see the pics! I guess I'd go ahead and feed if you can't see _any_ bulge. (Or if you see a bulge at the tail!!) I'm not really a poo-watcher, so I don't know if anyone has pooped or not before they are fed. If you cut a few shallow slits, just through the skin of the mouse, the snake will be able to digest it easier.

You cut after the thaw right?

I cut before the thaw. It's cleaner that way from what I have experienced.

That being said, i have minimal experience doing this. Most of my cutting was to cut the head off, not the cut slits, though I did that as well a few times.

I did not want to cut into something squishy...and I wanted to go from teh ziploc bag that i thawed in directly to the snake's mouth.

This must be the "no poo" week. I fed on Saturday and only one snake has done his business.

I was pondering asking this question myself. I'm curious about the answers.

I was just thinking about this just this morning. I fed my corn Sunday for the first time (my first time feeding). No poop yet as of this morning. Bulge is gone though from the pinkie.

The bulge is fine though I wouldn't go much bigger, but its just right for aa nice full size meal. When young they need to eat once a week poo or not unless its been weeks with no poo so go ahead and feed as usual I guarentee you get the present you've been looking for:)

I always find with Salvador it takes her a little longer if she's had something that gives her a bulge that big. Usually I find if you handle her she gets really good exercise and either does it on you (Which is GROSS so put a cloth down or something!) or does it soon after you put her away. This is our one and only snake though (for now!) so we can't give you a very experienced opinion. And the people who have said not to worry on this thread are people I've taken advice from which is always right and has helped Salvador, so I'd follow that if I were you :) Us new snake owners do worry don't we!

Maybe your snake has defecated and you just haven't seen it? I don't tend to search for it until cleaning day but if the bulge is gone after 48hrs I don't worry about it too much.

....although now I wonder if I should lol.
