Is it common for baby snakes to not fully digest pinkie? The baby snakes feces still has fur and is still pretty intact but definetly came out the south end of the northbound snake. She is a fuzzy eater and doesn't seem to be fully digesting????

My second question is when a snake regurgetates can part of the pinkie be digested. I beleive my male snow regurgetated his meal but not sure if maybe he passed it because the head of the pinkie was fully digested but rest was still intact????

How long can a 4-5 month old snake go without eating???Do you recomend force feeding after how long??Also can i get a breif on how to force feed?

I beleive I have come across a poor breeder due to these snakes having problems. Their tanks were dialed in before they came home and i did everything exactly like the first one who is an excellent eater and had zero problems with. once I'm able to prove this i will release the breeders company name. Many other contributing factors to this belief which I'm willing to share privatly until I prove I'm right

Sorry to hear you are having problems with some hatchlings, but I will inform you that any issues with the breeder needs to be dealt with in private first (an honest breeder will try to make compensations if it is indeed their fault, but you also have to understand that "things happen" and not all hatchlings will survive even under the most ideal of conditions), and then if you still have an issue, you need to go the BOI (Board if Inquiry) on FaunaClassifieds and not air any "dirty laundry" on this site.

And to help answer your questions, hair is normally not digested, so what you are seeing is normal in that respect, but if the temps are a tad too high, the fuzzy may be going through the snake too fast to be completely digested. The prey may also be just a bit too large for the snake as well.

It is common for a regurge to be partially digested. It all depends upon when it is regurged.

Depending upon the condition of the 4-5 month old hatchling, the amount of time it can go without food may vary, but I would say that as long as it appears active and has good weight for it's size, a hatchling that age can go 1-2 months without eating, but I personally would try to force-feed sometime around week six.
 
I'm a noobie, unlike Susan, but I can tell you fur definitely can come out the south end of a northbound snake. It has happened with my Humphrey & I was watching when H poo'd so I know for sure it wasn't a regurg. It otherwise looks just like any other snake poo so I gave up worrying about it.
