Are These Snakes Or Guppies?

I swear on all that slithers I didn't breed my snakes this year because of the mite outbreak in the beginning of the year. That's why this is getting crazy.

I went into my bedroom to find something and happened to look at the snake tubs in there. I see something strange in Candy's tub. Wait.... eggs? But she's too small!?! She hasn't been with a male since I got her!?! They should all be slugs right? Right????

Most of them were, some merged together. But there are three good eggs. I candled them and there are veins. They're still all slimy so luckily I found them now when it should still be okay to flip them a little because that's what happened. I guess this means she's at least 4 years old. I theorize that she was bred last year before I got her and retained the sperm.

This means that so far I've had two retained sperm clutches and one snake bought all ready gravid.

Has this happened so frequently to someone else? I feel like maybe I'm in Toy Story except that it's not toys but snakes. Maybe they're swapping fluids when I leave them alone. Any input would be helpful.

I'm now actually afraid to breed next year. If I breed 10 females and get 10 eggs from each, and then they all double clutch or something.... I feel like it will be my luck. Maybe they're really guppies in snake suits seeing as I didn't have to do a darn thing to get eggs this year.

Why do you say that? I personally know of female corns laying eggs before they are 2 years old.

Before I knew better, my 1+ (but no where near two) year old corn laid a clutch and they hatched... cohabitation is a bad thing people!

I've had her for at least six months. I just weighed her and she weighs 201 grams, but I just fed her an adult mouse a few hours ago. She's roughly three and a half feet long (hard to measure snakes. Lol). So I assume she's older than a year. Maybe she's only two years. They didn't feed her regularly and she just lost weight from the eggs.

Don't suppose there's a better way to tell the age?
