sorry i posted this on the wrong page it was PurraLovesJazz i spoke to about her cornsnake and that had been put down ,, my bad

No biggy.. I was just like...ummm...huh? I'm not optimistic for this little guy but he's doing okay right now.

I was going to chime in earlier, but I am a sucker for special needs animals, so as long as the little guy didn't look like he was suffering, I was going to suggest giving him a chance. He will always need help shedding, obviously, but if he can eat, poop & move OK... So my thought was see if he eats & then poops.

Anyway, my best wishes go out to you & him, and (((hugs))) to both of you.

I am happy that he is doing good so far. You will have to keep us posted on how he is doing. How is his belly looking? Are you going to keep him? If it was me I would keep and name him piglet.:spinner:

The belly is doing good, almost healed. I really like the name piglet :D. His eye's are blue as of today so I'm excited to see if he even eats. We have grown quite attached to the little guy, I promised myself if we get any badly kinked ones I wouldn't fall into the 'I have to save them all' mindset....oh how well that worked out. He is an absolute doll, I still don't have much hope, but if he makes it we're keeping him, I wouldn't breed him, not that I think he even could, but he stole my heart and he's a trooper. I figured if he eats and poops and gives life a shot I'll give him a shot. I won't let him suffer, if he doesn't eat or doesn't poop in a sensible amount of time I will humanly put him down but i'm giving him a shot.

I am so glad to hear that he is doing good at this time. Shedding might be interesting. lol Oh I can't wait to see if he eats and how things move threw him.

I think most of us have been there! I've been a sucker for a hatchling hard-luck story as well - they're the real characters.

Well it came down to it, had to put him down. I shed a few tears but his cut was looking good till he started shedding. It split back open again and what I'm guessing was intestines started comming out. I wanted him to live so bad, but I wouldn't let him suffer.

I am so sorry. I know that you really wanted him to make it. That really sucks that he was looking good till he shed.

I am terribly, terribly sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what that must feel like for you.
Feel happy in that you gave him the chance to live, and that while allowing him that, you did not cause him pain, i.e. by infection and septicemia. Besides, he's in Snakey Heaven with piles and piles of pinkies, and lots of rocks to hide under. :)
Again, I'm sorry, and I hope the rest do good.
R.I.P. piglet :(
