Hi My Name is Rachel Doyle I am new to .com. I have never own one I will be owning one soon thought. My mother never like snakes so I could not have one growing up. When I got married my hubby did not like ether until the other at my son birthday at the Baton Rouge Zoo the had a brought some different pets for the party one being a corn snake well my hubby fell in love with one and now is letting me get one as a pet. Now I am looking for corn snake and I house for it to.
 
He/She is going to be in the living room it is going to be a show tank I think. We are going to look at some at the pet store the tanks. I am hopping to find someone are round here that breeds them. I finally under stand the whole under the tank heater by watching a video on the bigappleherp.com place. Is there any UTH that is the best. Thanks for all the welcomes
 
I had one last question. I have some drift wood that I used in one of my fish tanks. would it be safe to us for my corn snake. If so there is a few peaces that I need to clean how will I go about it they look like they have sand on it.

Hmm for cleaning wood items I have heard that people soak them in water then bake them in the oven for a bit to kill off parasites. But if it's a plasticy type item I use a bleach water solution 10% bleach 90% water. If you use the bleach make sure to let the items air dry so that the smell is gone, snakes can get respiratory infections, which are not fun to deal with.
