• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Picture problems?!

are you using something like Photobucket? The way I do it is I have an account with www.photobucket.com and I upload my pics onto the photobucket account. I then copy the "direct link" or URL of the picture. Then I go to my post im about to post and I click on the "Insert Image" on the options above the text window. Then Paste in the URL of the picture your trying to upload, make sure you erase the http that first pops up in the window because sometimes (atleast with me) it keeps it and the picture wont work. So paste in the URL and then hit ok and it will put it in your post. When your done hit Preview before you post to make sure it works, as long as it works Post it :D I hope this works for you.

Okay thanks..I will try this in a bit to show you all my new corn snake! I am so excited to get her, even though I know she is not that rare or impressing...lol

Neither is mine, But I still love him lol. I had to post pics as as I could too haha. I hope that works for ya. Its exactly how I post mine.

You can also use the "Manage Attachments" function. Scroll down to the Additional Options section to find the Manage Attachments button. You can upload up to 5 photos for each post (if you are replying to an already existing thread, instead of using the Quick Reply, you need to click the Go Advanced button). You need to remember that attached images need to be a certain pixel and KB size so make sure your photos have been resized. I will also recommend that you make sure any photo you post directly from another website (like Photobucket) has also been resized to a friendly viewing size. If someone doesn't have the courtesy to allow me to view their photo in the average sized monitor screen, forcing me to see only 1/4 of the image at a time, I simply don't bother to look at it. It also ruins an entire thread as every other post is altered due to the huge size of that image. An example can be found here.

somebody should really make a sticky about how to post pictures

Why? All of the information needed can be found in the FAQ if you take the time to read it. And you can even search the FAQ for something specific. I mainly have to search for the BB code ("code" works well for the search) as that detailed page is linked in the body of the FAQ, not an actual section/question. Images and Attachments are, however.
