hi, I just got two corn snakes, one is 2 weeks old and the other one is 2month old.

when i hold them on my hand, both of them won;t stop moving around on my hand!!!
is a ball python more calm than the corn snakes?
how do i calm them down?

oh! and also, is it okay to keep them in a same aquarium?

thanks

Babies are normally flighty like that. Once they get used to being held and handled, they may calm down, or they may still want to go explore. Depends on your snakes personality. Most do calm down, though.

As for keeping them in the same tank, don't. Just go here- http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114151
or search "cohab" and you will see why not to. You will get TONS of info. :)

and other question is... i don;t have enough space right now...
can i keep them in the same tank for now... for like a year? since they are baby...
they don;t seem to have too much stress over places to hide and all....

It depends on how much you hold them. The faster they get used to you the calmer they will be.

Do you have $20 to go buy another cage? 2 week olds don't need that much space. I would get them into different cages as soon as possible, because even babies have a high risk of attacking or eating each other. How big of a cage do you have them in now?

A plastic shoebox only costs around $5, and your baby will be fine in there for a little less than a year. If you buy a 12 quart box they can live in that for over a year. My yearlings are living in 12 quart tubs until they are big enough not to slip out of my main cages. Babies are actually more likely to eat each other, and since one is larger than the other your risk for cannibalism increases a lot.

i have them in the same tank right now. they seem to be fine right now... since the space is big enough... so should i buy the plastic tank or another tank and seperate them?

Either one would work as hatchlings don't need a lot of room. Co-habitating is a big issue with many having done it successfully and many having lots of different problems from cohabitating. While it CAN be done it is NOT recommended. Besides, if one regurgitates, how can you tell which it was?
