Bearded Dragon

Go Penguins!!!
So, the reptile guy got in a bearded dragon that is missing part of his tail. Other than that she is healthy. I guess she was housed with another one and something happened? I know they aren't suppose to be cohabbed either.

Anyways, she will be come the newest rescue at the DiBiasi's house. She is beautiful with very red tones. The guy said she is probably about 8 months old and very sweet. She will come home next friday after a period of isolation at the shop.

She will be my first lizard. I am excited. Ask me 3 yrs ago and I would of told you I would never picture myself owning so many reptiles. But now that the kids are older and I am married it just seems to fit into our lives.

I am asking for name suggestions... I figured she will be like a fiery redhead LOL

Thanks! There are so many of these that came in as rescues as adults in this shop. They currently have one named "Big Momma'' that extremely overweight. The previous owners only fed her meal worms. She is being put on a diet before rehoming

Ditto, and ditto. Both absolutely fantastic resources when researching anything to do with Bearded Dragons.

Beardies are such wonderful animals. I love my boy, even if he is the biggest PITA dragon in the world, lol. Congrats on the new addition to your family! I'm sure you'll love her!

I will post pictures of her as soon as she comes home. I held her today and the guy was like "wow she must really like you, she sure is turning bright red". I was like usually thats not a good thing and he told me they turn almost black when they are mad

Oh, yes, their beards can definitely go BLACK when they're upset!!! To give you an idea, this is my boy in full "breeding" colors... This was right after his very first ever encounter with a female dragon, so he was feeling pretty frisky, lol. Normally his beard is a nice, bright orange, about like the shade on his lips and around his eye in this pic.
