so here we go these pics were taken in parts of Pulaski TENN and Cullman Alabama.

before we get started i would like to tell you about my new plan for catching rat snakes!i have been herping so much lately but i never see any rat snake its getting very very annoying. So i was reading today about rat snakes being fond of birds and Then it hit me like a pile of bricks why everyone i know finds them, but not me! birds,I have no bird feeders at my house ! my grandfather finds them all the time ! but he has tons of bird feeders .

then i remembered something from my childhood my father use to shoot black birds who were trying to invade his purple martin gourds. i remember there where tons of gray rat snake around when we had those gourds up.. and they seemed to slowly dissipate when they were gone.

so today i set up 6 bird houses,3 feeders and built three more houses which will go up tomorrow. and these are conveniently placed within the reach of near by tree branches (on the edge of the woods) i will be watching like a hawk for the snakes. i don't plan on letting any birds be harmed. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL WORK!

SO OFF TO THE SHOW!
