LIVIN' THE PUG LIFE
buy the beautiful Mexican black kingsnake I just found at a shop? :shrugs:

It's so black and sleek, and I can't stop thinking about it ><

I'm a little knowledgeable about this breed, but have never owned one, and I've heard they can be nippy (but I suppose any snake could)..I just think he'd look real good in my tank

Ohhh, Mexican Black Kingsnakes are so gorgeous! I think one of those would make a great addition to any collection! ;)

DO IT !!!!! LOL

Love king snakes.... I think they got a little more personality than some other colubrids. Great eaters. Mine eat everything including my fingers ha-ha

The black Mex's are pretty cool looking :)

Yes!

I was totally going to get a black mexican kingsnake but then I found out about black milksnakes. They get a bit bigger and are a bit calmer so I went that route :)

That's what I was going to say. If you want a huge black snake- Mexican milk is the way to go. But MBKs are cool, too!!

Black milks are a bit trickier to find up here.

MBK's are a win. Ours are some of my favorites here. Nothing beats that sleek black look! I say do it ;)

Well Said :)

And yes, I've been to numerous expos, and black snakes are pretty elusive here. I feel lucky to have stumbled upon this guy. Come to think of it, I don't recall ever seeing a black milksnake. If he is still there on Thursday, I think I'll bring him home.

I have a good friend here trying to build a breeding group of them (blck milks), which is really exciting. I have enough different milks and kings that I don't really want to expand with them too much more. More morphs of what I already have but that's it.
I do have MBK's that will hopefully breed this season, even they have been a bit difficult to find out this way the last few seasons. Last year there were a few vendors selling them...they were flying off the table at $140 a piece!

Oooh, really? Those are one of the snakes on my future snake wishlist! Very excited to hear you'll be breeding them! :)
