Newly arrived 5 month old corn very tiny!!

smigon so sorry for your losses... I really admire what you've done and continue to do for those "throw away pets"... Thank You!

So sorry for your lose. I hate when I lose a pet, and I have lost many over the years, being a retired bloodhound breeder it can be touch and go when the litters are 10 to 15 pups at a time. My experiance as a vet tech. often came in handy. I would be willing to take a rescue when I get my tank set up, but I'm not in a rush. We have a reptile show coming in Oct. by then I'll be set up.

So she devoured the 2 gram pink lol. She weighed in at 7 grams before the feeding... Got a couple decent pics (at least for a phone) of her as well.

I saw some corns at a show from a VERY reputable breeder, and his 2012s were smaller than my 2013s. I was really wanting one of them, but when I saw how tiny they were, I passed. My guess is they were also on a "reserve" diet.

She's really pretty! She'll probably be playing catch up for quite a while, but once she's a several years old, you probably won't be able to tell the difference between her and any other snake her age.

One of my snakes is a 2012, and he was quite small for his age when I got him. He is still a ways behind my other two 2012s at 150 grams, compared to their 220 and 270. I got him in November of 2012 (so he should have been around 4 or 5 months old) and he was only 10 grams.

Thanks I like her!! She had another feeding and it went great again, she takes the pink as soon as I put it in the deli cup with her. Also got a length on her: 11.33".

Well at least it seems like she's a good eater, so that's not why she's so small.

Yes I believe she is a good eater. Her and her siblings I seen photos of where all the same size so I'm confident the small size is due to number of days between feedings. There was nothing in the photos to get a good reference of size so I was shocked when I got her and seen how tiny she was!!

A little update. She's now at 20 grams!!! She is the best eater I have, would actually take the meal out of my hand if I let her!
