Wilma and Callisto 2014

Three more babies shed overnight, all perfect little sheds.

Sherbet (my 10 year old sister is probably going to be keeping this one):

And Pistachio:

Spumoni shed yesterday, and then today Ripple and Bordeaux shed. They are shedding in the exact order that they hatched.

Bordeaux has a really nice orange head.

And here's Ripple:

Both babies were quite wiggly and a bit bitey, but they both calmed down after a minute or so.

Four more little shedders this evening. Toffee, Neapolitan, Butterscotch, and Maple.

A not very good picture of Toffee:

Neapolitan:

No picture of Butterscotch, partly because I forgot and partly because he was too wiggly to get a good one. I caught Maple mid-shed:

I'm going to be feeding them in two groups, so now that the first half of the babies have shed, they will get to eat in a few days.

Okay, I got kind of impatient, so I decided to heat up just one pinky and see if anyone would eat it.

Long story short, the first four babies didn't even hesitate and ate their frozen thawed pinkies no problem! I didn't do anything special to the pinkies, just normal thawing in hot water. And the babies all ate right in front of me. I hope the rest of them are this easy!

I just tried the first four because those ones shed several days ago. I'll try the next set of four in a few days, maybe.

Oh, also, I purchased small pinkies for them, and they hardly leave a lump! These are some really tiny pinkies.

No, it's a GOOD pic of Toffee! I like that his mask markings have eyebrows! BTW, male or female or do we not know yet? YAY!

Oh, and Jim knows. All I had to say was "do you like Toffee?" and he said yes and I said "good, because Olivia is bringing us Toffee in the fall!". He caught on after a minute, but just rolled his eyes, laughed and said "you are crazy". Yup, sums me up perfectly!

Another two sheds.

Tomorrow evening I will be attempting to feed the second set of four babies. Hopefully it goes well!

Two more sheds today, which leaves only one left.

Here is Hazelnut:

And Mint, whom I will probably be keeping. He was REALLY angry.

It was Group B's feeding night tonight, which includes Spumoni, Ripple, Bordeaux, and Toffee. All four took their pinkies no right away with no fussing. That makes 8 for 8, which is half the clutch! I am SO happy that these babies are being so easy.

And the last baby, Mukluk, also shed.

Neapolitan, Maple, Peach, and Butterscotch are Group C and all four took their frozen thawed pinkies tonight with no fuss. One of them even did a little feeding strike before swallowing. Only four babies left to go. I'm so proud of these little guys.
