Thanksgiving Terrazzo and Hypo Orchid!

So I delivered two hatchlings to their new home, and was congratulating myself on being two snakes lighter, when I was asked to take on two foster babies for some TLC...

This is Azriel, a hypo orchid 66% het amel stripe.

I need to get a photo of Grandma Zoey. She's been off on breeding loan for two seasons, and I was pretty amazed by her good looks when she came home!

Both kids ate boiled, whole reds- great!! They weighed in at 6 and 7 grams. Not microscopic, but little.

They are both beautiful, love the hypo orchid's name. I used to have a very mischievous cat named Azriel.

I guess they just need a shorter, more regular schedule?? They weren't keeping up with their clutch mates.

They both ate fine for me, boiled, in delis, covered. Next time I'll do them "set aside," so not where they can see me, but uncovered. Then just in line with everyone else, out in the open. Then wean off boiled. I think I'm going to go with a four day schedule of teeny tiny reds.

I'm not sure. They aren't mine. I think the terrazzo has a number of clutch mates- but hypo orchid is fairly uncommon.

This better not be a plot to get more snakes into my house!!

I guess the babies are going up to Ohio with me for Christmas, so they can stay on their feeding schedule. I hope they like snow! (I actually have a VERY nice snake transport box- they won't even know they left home.)

The babies are doing great! They are eating plain FT reds, just hot, in delis, uncovered. Zeta just shed. We are up in Ohio for Christmas. For the temporary quarters, the babies are in 9" round delis, on a shelf in an adult rack. Getting fed tonight!
