Age/Size/Weight

Hello peeps,

I was wondering if there is was a standard connection
between the factors age + size + weight of a snake.

I was wondering this, because I want to be sure my corns are doing fine.

Fenrir
age : almost 4 months
size : 35,5 cm
weight : 14 gr

Sif
age : almost 4 months
size : 36,5 cm
weight : 10 gr

There is only a loose correlation between age and size. The most important things are that the snake is eating regularly and that the snake is not overly stressed. If thise conditions exist the snake should grow at a "normal" rate.

Just to let you know, I have 2 snakes the same age as yours and they are roughly the same weight. One is 14.5 grams the other is 12 grams.

They are both eating fine. No troubles.
I guess they aren't stressed out. (been searching a list of signs of stress - not yet found)
Next month I'm going to switch to 2 pinkies every 4-5 days

Each snake is an individual and will grow at it's own rate. As long as the snake is eating regularly and looks healthy, it doesn't matter if someone else's snake is larger or smaller than yours at the same age.

Whoa. My 4 month old is almost 60 grams.....do they differentiate that much?

Actually, rethinking it, mine is just a little over 3 months. (I have trouble counting sometimes  ) But I still don't see them putting on 40+ grams in the next 3-4 weeks. I am feeding each a 2-4 gram pink every 4 days.

So yes, they can vary greatly. How soon they take their first meal and how often they eat, can affect their size.

Oh, I see. Not sure what kind of schedule he was on, when I got him from Lee a few weeks ago he was already on hoppers.

I have another who's the same age and alot smaller, on different prey size, so its good to know thats alright too.

Thanks :)
