anyone have any suggestion on good tanks for both a BP and a corn? not both in the same...but i need to buy two new tanks sometime, one for each...and would like to know what kind everyone would recommend

I use the Zilla 20L Critter Cage for all of my corns. It comes with a lockable sliding mesh top. They run about $50 most places. I have no complaints with this cage and it's nice to know my corns (or a ball) can live their full life in it.

well i think it really matters on the look you want and your price range. do to allot of stackable cages being well over $250 or more for just one. and if you want it to look fancy go for it.

but since i have Four snakes and i really care about whats inside in there cages to make them happy. rather then how fancy there cages look i go with glass tanks. i know my 20 longs where $32 each then the tops are another $15 that do lock and i haven't had one of my corns get out of them.

but if you have a small corn it can last about a year in a 10 gall there about 8 bucks along with a lockable top thats around 10.

i found it to look great but it did take me some time to earn all my tanks, heat lamps and everything else but i am sure happy with it

if your wondering what the black thing around the tank on the bottom its a black sheet it keeps my cat from stressing out my snakes. heres it with it up.

sorry the floor is a mess. i was cleaning out tanks when i found this post.

Hmmm never heard that before. Other than the differences in the viv conditions internally. Hope someone that knows more than me comments on that. I am curious too.

thought about that, but apparently housing a corn and a ball in such close quarters is a bad idea o_O so im going to be forced to either chose to ignore the advice of some and go with the easiest and build my own, or buy two tanks and put them on opposite sides of the room O.O

Hmmm...that's weird. They have different husbandry requirements as far as temperatures, but I don't think that would be an issue here. Having them as two different temps wouldn't be a big deal as there would be minimal heat transfer between the two.

What I would do if you felt uncomfortable housing them in the same "unit" is either just modify the plans to make two single unit vivs, or make two two unit vivs and have 4 snakes instead of 2!!:dancer:

Well the issue was that he bought the ball and put them in the same divided tank and we all gasped QUARENTINE!

Well, yeah, having a bp in the same tank (even if divided) is not a good idea. But I think that having them in two different cages completely (after quarantine, of course) is not a problem.
