New Ghost Stripe pair this week

Dale

Interventions won't work
Picking them up tomorrow and was asked to toss up some pics. I'll get the parents up this week, but for now, this is what they produced last season. I hope I have the same success.

They are nice, however most of those appear to be ghost motleys, not stripes.

Yeah, mom is het-stripe, so I assumed mileage would vary a bit, she may throw more of a broken stripe motley. Dad is a full stripe. We'll see, I love surprises, one of the reasons I'm increasing the corn numbers, love the unpredictability of some combos.

I'd love a trio of normals het for ??? and never knowing until they produced. Like Christmas every time.

I also like being on the cusp of whats in the now though, so maybe a little ice/lava/ashy-cinder-anery Z in '08. I'll try not to get ahead of myself ;)

looking forward to pics of the adult pair when you get them! I've bred my motley het stripe ghost to my striped ghost twice, their clutches are always fun with all that variety.

Here you go. The pics are awful, I wasn't even looking, just clicking away with one hand while I wrangled with the other. Daddy is VERY active, and Mom is in shed. Didn't have time to set them up in anything nice as I wanted to get them settled in, but here they are.

OK I am driving myself crazy, but what is that scaly thing in the background?

What they're sitting in?? LOL, it's just a dark wicker basket I had in the house. I needed something small with walls to keep the male confined for a minute. I think he's part racer or vine snake.

Thanks lol, I couldn't tell what that was... I was thinking it was some kind of plant or something . Funny how things up close can be unidentifiable like that.

Wow! Absolutly stunning! I love those stripes and mots. Ever need to take a break you can send em my way LOL

What a great pair to add to your collection... does the female have a lot of yellow like the male? I can't tell from that angle. And I agree the male looks like he could use a few more meals, but I'm sure there won't be any complaints at the Harms house :)

No, the female actually doesn't have any yellow at all which made me wonder. Is there that much variation with the Anery A Ghosts?? She resembles more what I would expect from a Charcoal Ghost considering the lack of yellow, but I don't have enough experience with the morph to say for sure.

I do need to take a closer look at her, I put them away pretty quickly last night since their cooling process was interrupted and I didn't want them stressed more than they already were.

A ghost doesn't have to have yellow that comes from being anery A and not B. I prefer the ones without myself, but those are hard to come by :)

Well I like that info!

Question..

Ventral scale pattern, I've seen it mentioned but haven't sorted it out yet. What is the relevance? The male has a solid white belly (sans-checkers), again, I have to look at the female more closely to check hers. Is this indicative of Motley? Stripe? Hypo? Or something else altogether.

Got lucky and found someone locally cutting #'s. This 4' female motley just happened to be in the mix. $80 for her and a heating pad, my pair is now a trio. :)

Score! Congrats... We'll have to compare ghost babies down the line here! How is the other pair doing, did you end up brumating or not?
