Looks pretty good with all those nice hides. I can't tell how thick your substrate is but it looks like you can throw some more in there so your snake can burrow. I would have your water bowl on the glass directly, so your snake can't get underneath and possibly be smashed. Are your temps reading correctly?

Aside from your viv, is that an All That Remains poster?? They are one of my favorite bands!

no it's not dirt haha it's empty space without aspen because I was touching to see the temp in both sides

really! yeah its and all that remains poster I went to it's show here in mexico it was so awesome! check out this pics!

Sweet pics and I'm very jealous. I haven't ever gotten around to seeing them. Behind Silence and Solitude (their first) is by far my fav album.

I love Clarity! That first solo is so amazing that I listen to it over and over. I'm a guitarist myself and play several songs from This Darkened Heart.

Hrm. I thought I read that they liked to hang out under the water dish because it's hark and heavy and makes them feel secure, is it really a worry that they will get smashed?

It really depends on your snake and the bowl. If you have a hatchling and you used a big heavy rock bowl, then it could be dangerous. A light plastic bowl shouldn't be a problem though. I would just use your best judgment. Think about whether or not the snake would be smashed if you sat your water bowl directly on the snakes head.

How about a climbing vine? Corns like to climb and I know Wylie sure likes his!

Also, you might want to get a thermometer with a probe on it and put it on the bottom under the aspen since that's probably mainly where your snake will hide and you wouldn't want it to be too hot (or cold). The difference in the temp between the side of the glass and the bottom, especially if you're using a UTH, can be significant, I found that out, I had the same thermometer you currently have at first, now I have thermometers with probes suctioned to the bottom of my tank.

I was going to buy that vine but they were out of stock... I'm getting it this Wednesday thou =D, I have a digital thermometer stuck in the aspen touching the glass in the zone of the uth, I'll buy a thermometer with a probe anyway hehe, how do you rise the temperature from the cold side?

See your hide in the middle? That's the one Jasper disappeared into. there are two tiny holes you can't see leading up into that highest limb that feels like it's blocked off. You might want to either fill the holes with aquarium silicone or dripp a larger hole into that limb so your snake doesn't get stuck. My snake that got in there is 13 grams.

Deeper aspen, maybe some fake vines from a craft store and it looks great!

Oh thx nanci! I'm getting the vines tomorrow, I'm having problems with the temp, it's 96, I can't get it lower
