Tail end question

I was handling Maximus the other day and I noticed that it has a very skinny tail...near the feces area (butthole) the body is normal and then just after that hole it goes skinny.

Why is that?

this is a pic i just saw on these boards but this is exactly what it looks like

Maximus is unsexed and i would say almost a year old give or take a month or 2. Myan is unsexed and is about 5 or 6 months old, give or take a month or 2. Maximus can't be carrying eggs can it?

How old is your snake? The picture you posted is of an overweight snake. It would be better if you could post pictures of your snake.

Thats what the tail looks like thou...maximus is not over weight very healthy looking.. i'll have to get it out for some pics

the feces area (butthole)

The correct term for the anotomical feature you are speaking of is "cloaca."

The common chamber into which the intestinal and urogenital tracts discharge especially in monotreme mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and elasmobranch fishes.

Yes.
What are you feeding (what size) and how often?

An overweight animal is just as unhealthy as an overweight human.

I was feeding it 2 fuzzies a week..last week it was a fuzzy and a hopper..but they are now out of hoppers so i am back to fuzzies

best i can do right now, see on the last pic how it is fat and then goes into a skinny tale.
If there are health risks please advice on what they are and how to prevent them.

Sorry she looks overweight. Knowing her wieght would really help then you could judge what to feed to help her loose weight.
On the other hand is she co-habed with the other snake in pic?

Yes they are co-habed in the same tank. They get along great..cuddle all the time.

I'm sure they are madly in love. Where did you get the Aztec? Are you sure of the sex of the Aztec?

I don't know either of the sex's Susan...I never got them sex'd im afraid of getting them sex'd and have them get hurt. Why what ya thinking there susan.

I'm thinking you should have reconsidered co-habbing as it may be the ghost is gravid and if your estimate of weight is correct much to small to lay eggs.
