Photoshopped?

The electrons can not "Escape" from your body into the atmosphere. They simply stop moving.

The rest of it was right mate, but this bit isn't. Electrons never stop moving, they only do so at 0K or -273 degrees C, which is impossible to achieve. I know it's cold in the graves of Manchester but it's not THAT cold! :grin01:

I think the color round the noes is the persons ear. There was a weird video on the news maby a year back which was a CCTV camera at Hampton court in London. A figure that threw the doors open and then closed them as well. But on the news it said that area of Hampton court is very high security. The video was given thorough investigation and was not declared fake but not real either.

Indeed looks like a bad photoshop...

I find it interesting when people say ghosts do or don't exist; I'm always curious to know what they define as a ghost. Some people think of them as nothing more than an image imprinted on time... others think of them as something hiding behind a doorway waiting to scare you...

I believe that a ghost is something (ie. someone who claims to see a ghost has not completely imagined seeing something) but I couldn't begin to tell you WHAT a ghost is or why it appears. I don't think anyone really knows for sure and that's why they fascinate us so much. :shrugs:

Agreed, it IS his ear....but notice the "darkness" of the ear adjacent to the apparition's mouth? That's (bad) blending in Photoshop.

That was directed to Jazz... BTW.
Aj, what I meant to say is.. that science tutors don't study these things and they rely on science to explain everythig. I never said paranormal investigators are smarter than scientists, I said they KNOW LESS about this subject- the paranormal.

And psychics are just about the only people I know of who claim they have access to 'em.

It all kind of falls under the pseudoscience of "paranormal"......

regards,
jazz

Maybe some do? The problem with 98% of the psychics today to the readings and crap for money. I do believe that some people are sensitive to these things and they do connect with dead people that haven't gone to the "light"...

The funny thing about science is that the deeper you delve into it, the more you return to the field of theory. That's how you achieve break-throughs. You theorize and then test.
The Paranormal field at current is nothing more than a theory, it counters many very basic scientific rules- even though science agrees that not everything you can't see means it doesn't exist.

As far as I know, and I have solid enough biological background- the nerve system stops emitting electric pulses when the brain dies. The cells that produce the electric charges die. It's actually a very long and quite sophisticated chain reaction in the nerves. An electrical signal starts a chemical reaction which triggers the next nerve in line to produce electricity and so on...
All in all, I don't see how this theory would hold, but there are other interesting theories out there.

There are all sorts of scientific attempts to define emotion for instance, or "soul" or other very not so scientific terms.
If these theories appeal to you- by all means, take them into consideration, just with a decent pinch of salt.

The most advance physics as far as I know rotate around defying the most basic physics rules- that parallel lines do meet eventually due to the planet's magnetic poles. Or that it -is- possible to exceed the speed of light.

There will always be more room for opinions and research- I simply think it is more logical to follow the rules that were test-proved rather than speculate and take to heart every account about paranormal events.

Yish I hope I didn't bore your pants off :uhoh:

Have any of you actually seen a ghost?
You can get all the "Science Data" you want,
I HAVE SEEN THEM on seperate occassions in
different locations! At a night club I worked at
after closing a bartender and I were finishing up
and put the cleaned tin ashtrays on the tables for the
next evening and as we finished a row of tables the
ashtrays were flying off the tables on to the floor.
There were 5 people that witnessed it! there were
NO explainations from the "scientists" that came to "Investigate".
I've seen figures walking through hallways too. Very weird,
but nobody can convince me they don't exsist.. I'VE SEEN THEM!
believe what you want, but....
Hey what do I know, I'm a snake hobbyist & we are weird anyway.. LOL

I don't intend to hijack the thred... but what is your take on this...

Photobucket is "Down for maintenance" so I had to attach the photo.

The little girl who is crying says that the other little girl didn't like her, and they all told her that there was no other girl there...

I always thought it was real... but now that I look at it properly... it does look a little unreal...
The knee of the second girl along seems a little blurred...

I have seen 'ghosts'. I can't begin to tell you what causes them or WHAT exactly it was I saw. It was just something. This is why I find it hard to say ghosts exist or don't exist, because I have no idea what it is I am trying to prove. ;)

I have seen things and I believe them to be strange, but I can't prove for a second that I didn't imagine them or there wasn't a rational explanation for their occurence.

The reason I am even having this discussion, and why I'm defending spirits, is because I used to live in a house that had a spirit(s) of some sort. And I did actually see what people call "shadow people" walk from the kitchen to the bathroom. I remember talking about that once... I'm somewhat sensitive to this stuff.. I'm not a psychic... These things are just really attracted to me and the freakiest thing I ever saw was when I was taking a walk in this park and I saw a little child run through the woods. Whenever something like this happens I try to look at the history of the place, and sure enough, a person died there.

We should start a thread with these kind of experiences... :shrugs:

It does look like another photoshop to me, Connor. I agree with you that the knee looks odd - it looks like the image of the little girl is overlapping the knee slightly.

At first when I looked at the picture I didn't get it then you said the knee... and I almost pissed my pants! LOL That's freaky... but there's no proof of it being real, is there?

A thread sounds like fun. I have a few sightings of my own to share.

Just to clarify, I am not for a second denying that you or anyone else has SEEN ghosts - I'm just not sure that anybody knows yet what causes them. But they fascinate me, and I'd dearly love to know why we see them.
