I dont really know where i will get my snake but it's either gonna be a reverse okeetee, fluorescent, or a butter........I have looked at serpenco and moreptiles.com so far. yeah i have the reading and stuff figured out but i just have to earn my money and convince my parents, so far i have my tank which is currently being used.....but not for very long, the money for hides, water bowl, decor, etc.....all i need to do now is convince my mom and dad, and earn the actual money for the snake. thanks,
Ty
Glad to see you have a few reputable breeders and are getting the supplies up front...you will make a great snake owner and have a healthy and happy snake as well. :dancer:
As a parent...for what it's worth...I love the snakes...

they only need to each about once a week, only poo about once a week, do not need to be walked, do not bark, do not shed, do not scratch the furniture, do not have the health concerns as most other pets, nor the associated costs, do not need the uva/uvb like some other herps, and they have a personality.
We also have a Rankin Beardie...who eats a lot more and poos a lot more but has a great personality.
A fat tailed gecko...she's cute and easy to care for but not the personality of the other two.
A greek tortoise. Eats 3 times a day, poos almost as much, and has a gift of flipping himself upside down (which yes is deadly). He is very sweet though.
Anyway, I ran from all thing reptile and rodent. I only 'got into herps' because of our boys...we have allergies to a lot of furry pets around here. It took me 6 months before I would handle our first cornsnake without gloves...now I am the one who wants to get 'just one more' and am trying to convince the hubby. trust me, your parents are going to be easier to convince than most anyone you might marry down the road:eek1:
