So gee I wasn't expecting to get admitted last night (wall of text)

The idea of giving birth scares the crap out of me, but good luck girl! Make the hospital and nurses work for the gazillion dollars the insurance company is paying them is all I gotta say...

Can't wait to hear more about our newest little herper's grand entrance! Keep us posted!!!

Personally I'd rather give birth than have a root canal!

ANy names by the way?:)

I'm tired of resting!
Today is my next appointment so we'll find out how much more I've dialated. I know I've actually felt some of my contractions now.
The myserious pain is gone however and the only time I'm really in pain now is if I'm sitting straight up (like in a car) for more than 10-15minutes. Which will make driving really inconvient if they say I can drive again.

How many weeks are you at now?

Best if luck at the doctor...have they any idea what is causing the mystery pain?

I'll be 38 weeks on Friday.
We never figured out what the Mystery pain was, which is partially why I got stuck on bed rest because they didn't want me making it worse whatever it was.

Hopefully a storm front will move through soon. My 3 boys were all born during storms...the maternity nurses said that the nursery went from about 10% full to 90% evertime a storm rolled in:)

Can you sit up comfortably now?

Sitting up like, straight back is still painful after about 10-15 minutes. So quite obviously my doctor advised that I stay out of that position. Which means avoiding driving for long distances...IE going to school. But at least I'm not completely stuck at the house.

And I'm off of bedrest now, but I was having a hard time following that anyway and was still shuffling around the house cause it was driving me nuts not to do anything.

As for a storm front we've only got 30%-40% chance of rain this weekend.

Thanks for asking :)

I'm just feeling tired mostly. Although yesterday I was feeling really not good, tummy issues, extra exhausted and just plain sleepy.
Had a few killer contractions yesterday, so every day it's like "is today the day?!"
Have another appointment tomorrow, so we'll see if my body has made any change.

Well Jen with all three of mine: I had a burst of energy (I know it's an 'old wives tale') but I did. Then when I knew I was in in labor it was Oh! God not today I'm tired, make it tomorrow. You'll do fine when it starts and you'll be a great Mom, Conner is a lucky boy.

I also had a terrific burst of energy for a couple of days before actual labour, where I went round and got all the household jobs done, that I'd been putting off because I was so tired :)

Hope you get on well at your check up tomorrow :)

Keep us posted!

Best wishes,

One of the teachers on my team gave birth today. And my math teacher is due in 3 weeks (but then the other one was 3 wks. early)...
I hope you "make it out" alright, I can't imagine giving birth...

The waiting at the end is the hardest, isn't it?? I hope all goes well and FAST!

For me, our son was three weeks late, and was truly "postmature", the largest baby in ICU because he had inhaled meconium. He was out and home a week later, but I did pump breast milk--felt like a cow! Our daughter was two weeks late, and born with a heart defect which required surgery when she was 9 days old. She came through with flying colors, and is a very normal, very healthy 13-year old hormonal teen. Both were born via section, because my cervix would not dilate. I just loved being pregnant; was that my body refusing to give them up?? Yikes. After Liana was born, I said two is enough, hubby got "the operation"--I said I had two surgeries, it was his turn!

Best thoughts going your way!
