Misting?

corns doesn't need high humid 50-60% ? so i don't think you need to mist well depends where you live though

It wouldn't hurt to have one on hand. If your environment is dry, sometimes some extra misting can help during shedding. You don't want to mist all the time, though.

What about living in a very dry environment like in the middle of the desert? I will be moving to Vegas where you all know is *very* dry... would you suggest misting every day/every otherday/ only when shedding or only provide a moist hide during shedding?
Or should I just play it by ear and watch the hydrometer and adjust day by day?

I kept my first corn in a 10 gallon tank. Where I live, we have dry air. He had two bad sheds in a row. I added a humidity chamber - and I never experienced a bad shed from him again. The humidity chamber was one of those "reptile cave" things that is hollow - I just put in damp moss, and once a week, re-damped the moss. That seemed to be good enough.

Now that I use sterilite, humidity chambers have not been needed to get perfect sheds from corns.

I already live in the desert. It hit 105 yesterday, although i think it got hotter. I went to find my baby and she was sleeping under her water dish where the substrate was wet and cool.I think i need to start turning off the uth(any opinons are welcome on that) Plus when i picked her up last night she kept trying to like burrow into my hand(maybe getting ready to shed?). So i will deffiantly keep an eye on her cage.

The UTH should be controlled. If your room temperature is fairly consistent, you can use a rheostat though a thermostat is better. If your room temperature varies, you should use a thermostat.

The temperature in the warm spot should not exceed 85F and I personally prefer a tad bit cooler (I shoot for 82F). A night drop to a little cooler is fine.
