CLUTCH #2

Here's my second clutch of the year, This is " Hotsauce" my Classic het Amel, Bloodred, Charcoal (from Drizzt80) she looks so tired in the pics, she layed in blue because she went into it a few days ago, gave her some water from a syringe...10 FRESH EGGS!!! YES no slugs...They're bigger than the 16 my Amber laid earlier this week. Oh, she was bred to "Tobasco" an awesome male bloodred, so I hope to get 5 grayheads out of her, again both were virgins so I am ecstatic about what I've gotten so far. Two girls left to lay...thanks for looking, Kyle

Well isn't that just the cat's meow . . . congrats on the clutch! . . . her sister still hasn't bred. She's coming up on another shed so I'll give her one more chance to breed afters he sheds. :shrugs:

UPDATE!!!

Sweetness again. My second clutch had one go bad and all of the other nine have hatched out as of today. tally: 6 gorgeous Classics het blood, 50% het Amel and Charcoal. 3 Bloods ( 50% amel/charc.), pics of two with headshots ( the other one would NOT sit still, he's in timeout). Notice the side of the one, the patterning only covers the very top of his body, what's up with that? is that a normal baby blood characteristic, the other two have patterning almost down to the belly...thanks for looking!

Awesome job! That deep red side pattern is something amazing isn't it?! I get one or two like that in each clutch I hatch out. If I make plans to keep any back, those are the ones I generally keep.

doble clutch with MORE eggs than first time

PS) Looks like Hotsauce is going to double clutch tonight!!! wouldn't suprise me if she laid more than last time ( although I imagine that is rare) she looks huge and the eggs have moved towards the vent.

YES!!!!!!!!! She doubled for me! AND I was right she did lay MORE eggs than her first, 12 eggs this time, they ALL look healthy ( poor girl she laid 10 the first time), then took a loooooong drink of water. pics tomorrow...

QUESTION: To all: How often have you had a second clutch outnumber a first clutch?
